For Physix, state-of-the-art materials and production technology were used to develop an office chair that explores the possibilities of dynamic sitting.

Physix was designed by Alberto Meda. Alberto Meda was trained in mechanical engineering at the Milan Polytechnic, though grew of mastery of design in 1973, as he became technical manager of design group Kartell. He has since designed numerous award-winning products, including the Meda and Physix chairs for Vitra, Mix Lamp for Luceplan, and Chaise for Alias.
