Description
This is a custom-designed, square dining table, handmade by Philadelphia woodworker Robert V. Hyers. The listed price includes one dining table, and we have two identical tables available for purchase. The tables are composed of three different types of wood; They are made largely from solid cherry hardwood, and they have a thin band of rosewood and what appears to be tiger maple within.
When pushed together, the pair of tables can function as a double pedestal dining table. Each table retains its label from Mr. Hyer’s company underneath its top. Hyers founded his firm in 1983, and these examples date to the 1990s.
Each table measures 54 inches long, 54 inches wide, and 29 inches high. The tops remove from the bases for transport, and they are fastened by screws. Each table is in terrific shape, having some nicks, scuffs and surface scratches. Overall, these tables are in very good condition. Please see photos.
