Description
The 53 chair was presented at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers’ Guild’s annual exhibition in 1953, and was originally designed by Finn Juhl for master cabinetmaker Niels Vodder. The chair has always been one of Finn Juhl’s most popular and sought-after pieces of furniture, and is characterized by an elegant and sculptural expression. The 53 chair is hand-sewn in Denmark, and is available with textile or leather. The legs are available in walnut or oak. The chair can also be ordered with a loose cushion. The same series also includes a two-seater sofa.
Fabric consumption is 1.7m for the frame, .75m for the seat, and .60m for the cushion.
