Description
This is a Limited-Edition Screen Print, entitled “Lute and Molecule No. 2”, executed in 1958 by Lithuanian artist Ben Shahn in the USA. It depicts a molecule-like shaped structure accompanying a stylized lute instrument. The actual ink used for the print is black, and it also features hand-colored details. It was part of a series of 100. The piece is professionally framed in a thin chromed-steel gallery frame, and features thick black matting. It is hand-signed by the artist.
The artwork measures 25 inches high by 38.25 inches wide. Overall, this piece is in very good condition. Please see photos.
