Description
The iconic and collectible Wire floor lamp by Verner Panton is defined by the chrome-plated steel wire framework that widens at the top to support the white hemispherical plastic shade. The bulb is contained in a small, also hemispherical metal reflector, which guides the light to the inside of the shade. The wire frame gives the design a distinctive, yet very light and non-intrusive appearance, and the white shade offers plenty of ambient light.
Verner Panton was one of the 20th century’s most celebrated architects, industrial designers and textile designers. His work is characterized by expressive, curved forms, vivid colors and bold patterns.
